Charges for Immigration services

Immigration services will be handled by Mr. Kibria Ahmed Ashraf, who has been a qualified solicitor since 2012. Mr Ashraf has experience in the following areas:

  • Entry Clearance applications – spouse visa, fiancé visa and unmarried partner visa
  • British Citizenship and Nationality
  • Indefinite Leave to Remain
  • Settlement Applications
  • Adult Dependent Relative Visas
  • Family visas
  • Skilled Worker Visa
  • Student Visas
  • Ancestry visa
  • Appeals;

Mr Ashraf has also drafted grounds of appeals and represented clients at Immigration Appeal Tribunal Hearings which led to the appeals being successful.

Mr Ashraf’s hourly rate is £512.00 excl VAT.

Our consultation fees are £100 (+ VAT if applicable) for a 30-40 minute session or £200 (+ VAT if applicable) for a 60-minute session. These confidential consultations are held with Mr Ashraf to thoroughly understand your specific circumstances, gather your full instructions, and consider all relevant legislation, policy, and case law. We will discuss your options and the likelihood of success, providing a cost-benefit analysis and a detailed explanation of our responsibilities to you. Ample time will be given for any additional questions you may have before the consultation concludes.

If sufficient evidence is provided during our first meeting and you clearly meet the applicable Immigration Rules, we may be able to offer a no win, no fee arrangement with a success fee capped at 20%, or even less in some cases. Under this arrangement, payment for our services is contingent only on a successful application. However, you will still be responsible for any disbursements related to your case.

Our current hourly rates are as follows:
  • Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals & equivalent: £186.00
  • Most qualified and experienced Solicitors: £270.00
  • Solicitors/legal executives with 4+ years of experience: £348.00
  • Solicitors with over 8 years of experience: £512.00

These rates are reviewed annually, and we will inform you of any changes. All fees are subject to VAT where applicable, typically charged at 20%. VAT may not apply to applicants from abroad, depending on their visa or residency status. We will confirm whether VAT is payable once you instruct us.

Application for:
  • Naturalisation or registration under the British Nationality Act 1981. This type of work typically takes 8-10 hours to complete per applicant. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £3,000.
  • Applications on behalf of European Economic Area (EEA) nationals and their family members under the applicable EEA Regulations or Immigration Rules, including applications for Permanent residence, residence cards, and registration certificates

  • Applications under the Immigration Rules, including:
    • Student and work experience visas
    • Visit visas (for tourism, or visiting friends/family)
      On average, this type of work takes between 4-8 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £2,000.
  • Spouse and partners applications, including fiancé(e)s or proposed civil partners
    On average, this type of work takes between 8-10 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £2,500.
  • Applications for work, business or study under the Points-Based System (this does not include Sponsorship Licence applications);
     On average, this type of work takes between 8-15 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £4000.
  • Dependent relative and family reunion applications
    On average, this type of work takes between 8-12 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £3500.
  • Ancestry visas
    On average, this type of work takes between 8-10 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £3500.
  • Other categories, such as applications on the basis of long residence
     On average, this type of work takes between 8-12 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £3,500.
  • Administrative Review
    On average, this type of work takes between 4-8 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £2,000.
  • Advice and representation at the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in relation to appeals against Home Office visa or immigration decisions
    On average, this type of work takes between 10-15 hours to complete. We offer this service at a fixed fee of £4500.

The exact time required for your application will depend on various factors, including the amount of supporting evidence needed, the complexity of your case, your language proficiency, and whether you are applying with dependents.

Our services include:
  • Detailed discussion of your circumstances to determine the most suitable application and what other options that may be available to you.
  • Advice on the requirements of the Immigration Rules, timelines, and whether you meet the criteria.
  • If you do not fulfil certain criteria, assistance in whether this can be overcome and how which on average can take 1-3 hours.
  • Review of supporting evidence you have provided, which we anticipate will take 3-6 hours*.
  • Where necessary, assistance in obtaining further evidence, if necessary (such as medical records and bank statements), including taking statements of any witnesses.
  • Preparation and submission of your application which we anticipate will take 3-4 hours.
  • Attendance at a Home Office interview: if the Home Office ask you to attend an interview, we will give you clear advice (and discuss the possibility of us attending with you) at the appropriate time. This could be between 5 and 8 hours of work.
  • Advice on the outcome of your application and any further steps you need to take.
  • Bundle preparation

Disbursements are expenses related to your case that are paid to third parties, such as visa fees. We manage these payments on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. Some examples of disbursements are (but not limited to) the following:

  • Interpreter fees, if required. Depending on the complexity of your case, this type of application typically requires 5-8 hours with an interpreter. If required, interpreters’ fees are charged on average between £100-£150.00 per hour plus VAT (if the interpreter engaged in your matter is VAT registered)
  • Independent expert reports, such as those from medical experts. These are not necessary in most cases; we will inform you promptly if an expert report is needed.
  • Business plan writers for entrepreneur applications. These are independent professionals who will provide a separate quote, typically ranging from £1,500 to £3,000, excluding VAT.
  • If we attend an interview with you, additional disbursements will be incurred for mileage/travel expenses.
  • Any Home Office fees and/or NHS surcharge fees related to the application. You will pay this directly to the Home Office as part of the application process.
  • In the event of a Home Office refusal, advice and assistance with any appeals, reviews, or further work on the matter.
  • Appeal or administrative review fees.
  • Barrister fees, which vary based on the complexity of the case, the seniority of the barrister, and the time spent on the matter. These fees typically range from £650 to £3,000, excluding VAT.
How long will my application take?

We cannot predict how long the Home Office will take to process your application, so we recommend checking the current processing times. Read the current processing times.

In most cases, we can submit your application within 4-8 weeks of receiving your instructions, provided that all documentation is complete and the application is sufficiently strong. If it appears that the process will take longer, we will inform you as soon as possible.
